A comparitie is an informal meeting held in the forecourt (voorhof), usually an ordinary meeting room with the tables arranged in the form of a 'hollow square'.  It requires no special facilities other than being able to be tyled and having simple catering facilities (i.e., an Ante Room or a small "South".

A brief but interesting history of this study circle
can be found here.
